• Sufian Abdullah serves as the Chief Executive of Officer at UEM Sunrise appointed in 2021.
• With more than two decades of distinguished experience in the property development and real estate sector, Sufian has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to innovation, leading several organisations to new heights. His foundation, rooted in architecture and urban design, has allowed him to construct a career marked by significant corporate achievements.
• Highlighting his esteemed career, he served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at KWEST Sdn Bhd (KWEST), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP). In this position, he was at the helm of KWAP’s strategic initiative to channel investments into high-opportunity real estate projects, showcasing his adeptness in navigating complex investment landscapes.
• Prior to his tenure at KWEST, he made a substantial contribution to Sime Darby Property Berhad, where his roles evolved from Head of Business Development from 2003 to 2007, to Head of Innovation from 2008 to 2013, and most notably the Vice President of Product Development & Land Planning from 2013 to 2014. • Hafiz has over 20 years of in-depth expertise in Strategic Planning, Venture Capital, Equities, Capital Markets, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). His role prior to joining UEM Sunrise was as the Group Head of Strategy at QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd.
• From May 2005 until October 2019, he made significant contributions as the Director of Finance at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, being the primary lead for financial reporting, financial systems, fund raising and liquidity management portfolios during his tenure there. Notably, his career is highlighted by several pivotal senior management positions, demonstrating his broad expertise and leadership skills.
• He served as the Chief Treasury Officer at Berjaya Corporation Berhad and Head of Treasury at Permodalan Nasional Berhad, reflecting his adeptness in handling sophisticated financial and liquidity management functions. His career commenced in audit and accounting with Ernst & Young, from which he progressed to occupy influential roles in numerous prominent public and private organizations in Malaysia.
• As our Chief Financial Officer, Hafiz will guide our financial strategies and their execution across the company. His responsibilities include ensuring our financial discipline, business sustainability, supervising the control systems to ensure accurate financial reporting, upholding high standards in legal and governance matters, engage various internal and external stakeholders and last but not least, steering strategic procurement initiatives.

• Emily heads UEM Sunrise’s Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience division. In this role, she leads our brand positioning, sales & marketing strategy, and customer service delivery. Additionally, she is a key contributor to product conceptualization and design across our portfolio.

• Liong's skill set includes the strategic identification of development lands or potential for joint ventures, carrying out detailed feasibility studies, overseeing project management, and leading sales and marketing efforts, all the way to managing properties after their completion.
• Before his appointment as the Chief Operations Officer, Liong was the Director — Central 2 at UEM Sunrise, where he was instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of projects, managing construction and contractual matters, and overseeing the operations post-completion.
• Liong's extensive leadership experience and dedication are fundamental to UEM Sunrise's success, showcasing his unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of excellence in the property industry.
• Currently, he serves with great responsibility overseeing the Integrated Business Unit of UEM Sunrise. • Her journey prior to joining UEM Sunrise is marked by several key positions: as Associate Director at AIA Berhad, HR Services Operations Manager at Shell Business Service Centre, Regional HR Manager at Shell Information Technology International, and Corporate HR Key Account Manager at Siemens Malaysia. Through these roles, she has cultivated a depth of knowledge and skills, evidencing her capability to align HR strategies with overarching corporate objectives across diverse industries.
• Peggy currently heads the People and Organisation division which comprises of People & Culture, Admin, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (QHSEC), and Corporate Real Estate & Asset Management (CREAM) departments within UEM Sunrise.
