We are pleased to share with you that Sunrise MCL Land Sdn. Bhd. (“Sunrise MCL” or the “Company”), a 50:50 joint venture development of UEM Sunrise Berhad and MCL Land Limited has donated 5.1 acres of land, as part of its CSR initiative, for the relocation of SJK(C) Ladang Ulu Kanchong Rantau to Forest Heights in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

A ceremony was held on 24 January 2018 in Wisma Negeri involving YAB Dato’ Seri Utama Hj. Mohamad Hj. Hasan, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan; YB Datuk Sri Dr. Lim Chin Fui, State Chairman, MCA; Mr. Raymond Cheah, Director, Sunrise MCL and Mr. Tan Yaw Cho, Board Chairman, SJK(C) Ladang Ulu Kanchong Rantau.

Pursuant to that, the Negeri Sembilan State Government agreed to charge a nominal fee for the land conversion to enable immediate commencement of construction works for the school. The YAB Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Company for agreeing to build access roads and infrastructures leading to the new school.

To be renamed SJK(C) Forest Heights once it starts operations in 2020, the new school is expected to see an increase in enrolment and will benefit many families with school-going children, as there are thousands of houses located in and around the area.
