We are pleased to share with you that Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) and Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited (“Temasek”) marked the successful delivery of the iconic Marina One and DUO joint development projects in Singapore in an official opening ceremony on 15 January 2018.

Marina One and DUO are integrated developments with office, retail, hotel and residential components developed by M+S Pte. Ltd. (“M+S”), owned by Khazanah and Temasek (60% and 40%, respectively). Established in 2011, M+S was set up to develop land parcels in Marina South (current site of Marina One) and Ophir-Rochor (current site of DUO). The developments have won multiple awards for their sustainability and environmental-friendly designs and are well-positioned to tap into the growth of the property and commercial sectors as well as attract strong market interest.

UEM Sunrise is the appointed project manager and undertook the marketing of both Marina One and DUO. Marina One Residences sold more than 80% of 521 units in the first tower, while DUO Residences sold 96% of 660 units. The second tower of Marina One Residences will open for sale this year. The two developments have achieved an occupancy rate of more than 70% for the office and retail components.

The historic ceremony was officiated by Malaysia Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak and Singapore Prime Minister Mr. Lee Hsien Loong. In attendance were delegates from Malaysia and Singapore including Tan Sri Azman Yahya, Chairman of M+S, Tan Sri Datuk Wira Azman Mokhtar, Managing Director of Khazanah and Encik Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Sunrise.
