30 July 2018
UEM Sunrise and Mulpha International Berhad (“Mulpha International”) continued their commitment to enhance infrastructure for the community of Iskandar Puteri by organising a successful groundbreaking ceremony on 30 August 2018, celebrating the commencement of construction on the new Gerbang Nusajaya Interchange.
Strategically located within the vast 4,551 acres of Gerbang Nusajaya and merely a kilometre away from UEM Sunrise’s Melia Residences, construction of the Gerbang Nusajaya Interchange involves three sets of roadworks and will create an enhanced transport ecosystem surrounding Gerbang Nusajaya and Iskandar Puteri. Further enhancing the ease of travel for commuters, traffic will bypass Gelang Patah town, reducing travel time to the Tuas Checkpoint to just 15 minutes.
Held at the Melia Residences Club House, the groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato’ Haji Osman bin Haji Sapian, Chief Minister of Johor accompanied by En. Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, UEM Sunrise; Tuan Haji Adib Azhari bin Daud, Mayor, Iskandar Puteri City Council and Mr. Eric Lee, Executive Director, Mulpha International. More than 500 guests were in attendance including community leaders, representatives of local authorities, members of the media and respective stakeholders.
