UEM Sunrise (through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SCM Property Services Sdn. Bhd.) was a proud recipient of four awards at the inaugural TheEdgeProperty.com Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards 2017 presentation ceremony held on 3 April at One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. 

UEM Sunrise’s developed and managed Mercu Summer Suites, located off Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur was a joint Silver winner for the Strata Commercial segment together with Queensbay Mall, Penang.

Meanwhile, 28 Mont’Kiara, another prestigious development by UEM Sunrise and Binjai on the Park, KLCC emerged as joint Gold winners in the Strata Residential category. 

The Mixed Development category saw both of UEM Sunrise’s completed projects, Solaris Dutamas and Solaris Mont’Kiara taking the Gold and Silver awards respectively. UEM Sunrise however does not provide property management services for the latter.

At the ceremony which was attended by over 350 of the country’s leading players in the property management industry, UEM Sunrise also bagged the coveted TheEdgeProperty.com Editor’s Choice Award for Exemplary Community Builder. Notably, the award recipient was selected to recognise excellence in a project, building, company or personality that promotes top quality property management practice.

The awards received are testaments to the continuous hard work and dedication UEM Sunrise team has in delivering sustainable developments and providing quality management services which determines the future value growth of each property.

TheEdgeProperty.com Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards was organised in partnership with Nippon Paint Malaysia and Panasonic Malaysia, supported by the Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers (“MIPPM”), the Building Management Association Malaysia (“BMAM”), the Malaysian REIT Managers Association (“MRMA”) and The Edge Malaysia. Submissions for the awards began in November last year and closed in January this year, resulted in more than 50 entries, participated by stratified and non-stratified buildings, managed in-house or by property managers.

Among the judging criteria was the quality of maintenance, administration of the working committee, collections, financial sustainability, security, community and communication as well as development value.
