UEM Sunrise, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) initiative, successfully organised its 10th Bijak Al-Quran Programme (previously known as “Pintar Al Quran”), concluding with the ‘Khatam Al-Quran’ ceremony on 17 November 2018 at Masjid Kota Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
The holy ceremony was part of UEM Sunrise’s objective of educating the young generation to become “Al-Quran-literate”, specifically in Iskandar Puteri and Gelang Patah, while celebrating the remarkable achievements of the 120 pre-schoolers from UEM Sunrise’s seven adopted KEMAS kindergartens from Gelang Patah. To date, more than 2,800 pre-schoolers have benefited from this programme.
The ‘Khatam Al-Quran’ ceremony was officiated by Iskandar Puteri State Assemblyman YB Tuan Haji Dzulkefly Ahmad, accompanied by UEM Sunrise Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer En. Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib with more than 300 guests in attendance, including parents and representatives from KEMAS.
