UEM Sunrise has placed 7^th at The Edge Malaysia’s Property Excellence Awards 2018, and once again earning the distinguished rank of Top 10 Property Developer. In obtaining the 7^th ranking, UEM Sunrise has attained its highest position as a Top 10 Property Developer since 2015. The presentation ceremony was held on 29 October 2018 at Hilton, Kuala Lumpur.

The Edge Malaysia Top Property Developers Awards ranks the best property players - based on their quantitative and qualitative attributes. The ranking is based on the conviction that the quantitative attributes of a developer alone are not sufficient to earn the title of an outstanding player. In short, a developer is not judged solely on how profitable it is, or the number of homes it builds and sells each year. This is imperative because Malaysian property buyers are becoming more discerning and demanding in terms of quality and innovation. Points are awarded by a distinguished panel of judges comprising top property gurus in Malaysia and The Edge.

The Edge Malaysia also recognised the contributions and leadership of UEM Sunrise’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer En. Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib in taking UEM Sunrise to extraordinary heights by presenting him with the Outstanding Property CEO Award.

In receiving his award, En. Anwar emphasised that it truly belongs to all at UEM Sunrise who have worked tirelessly for the organisation. He reiterated that everyone in the company has played a significant role in making UEM Sunrise the icon it is today and the award will serve as motivation to keep striving to maintain its position as a leader in the property development industry.

The awards were presented by Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister YBhg. Datuk Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad Shah, The Edge Media Group chairman YBhg. Datuk Tong Kooi Ong and The Edge Media Group publisher and group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ho Kay Tat.

The Top 10 Property Developers are SP Setia Berhad, IJM Land Berhad, Sime Darby Property Berhad, UOA Development Berhad, Sunway Berhad, Eco World Development Group Berhad in joint sixth with IOI Properties Group Berhad, Mah Sing Group Berhad in joint seventh, Gamuda Land Berhad, Tropicana Corporation Berhad and Eastern & Oriental Berhad.
