UEM Sunrise has won multiple awards at the Property Insight Prestigious Developer Awards (PIPDA) 2019, including the 2019 CEO of the Year which was bestowed to the Company’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, En. Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib.

Held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 3 May 2019, the PIPDA Presentation Ceremony and Gala Dinner was graced by YBM Senator Dato’ Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Ibni Raja Ahmad Baharuddin Shah, Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government as well as representatives from various property developers and industry players. The awards presentation aimed to recognise innovation and outstanding achievement across the entire property industry with individuals, groups and sector projects being eligible to enter one or more categories. PIPDA works as an independent bi-partisan professional body with the broadest possible involvement in the property industry.

UEM Sunrise also won the Top 10 Developer Award, Best Serenity Living Development Award (Estuari Puteri Harbour) and the Best Integrated Development Award (Radia Bukit Jelutong). Mr. Kenny Wong, Chief Marketing Officer, En. Ashraf Othman, General Manager, Development – Southern 1, and En. Zulkifly Garib, Director – Central 1, represented UEM Sunrise in receiving the awards for the evening.

The 2019 CEO of the Year Award was accorded to En. Anwar in recognition of his significant impact as a respected leader, elevating the Malaysian real estate sector and related fields by building and delivering world-class projects. The award is also an acknowledgement of En. Anwar's strong guidance and leadership in helping UEM Sunrise achieve success over the years.

In receiving the award, En. Anwar emphasised that the award truly belongs to all at UEM Sunrise who have worked tirelessly for the organisation. He reiterated that being passionate about customers’ happiness is something UEM Sunrise takes seriously and hoped that all Titans will continue working hard to achieve more success.
